Wave style Reports are based on a unique perspective which makes it different from all other assessments. The individual are assessed using Wave Styles assessments, which measure talents (can do), motives (want to do), preferred culture and competency evaluation. It is designed for use in both selection and development, transforming the assessment process with the sophisticated use of internet technology and powerful models of effectiveness in the workplace.

Styles are a combination of the motives and talents of individuals. What individuals want, and what individuals see themselves as good at, are both critical to predicting the culture people prefer to work in, and their performance at work .

This comprehensive global questionnaire measures the 4 clusters, 12 sections, 36 dimensions and 108 facets of the Wave hierarchical model. Average completion time is 40 minutes.

The Saville Consulting Wave® Professional Styles development program specifically focused on creating leading edge assessments. The development approach selected items based on their measurement of work competencies and overall measures of performance and potential.

The goal at the outset of the development of the Saville Consulting Wave range was to build on the past hundred years of research and to innovate utilising the latest technological advances, to create an integrated suite of tools for the assessment of individual, organisational and work variables. We measure both the individual and the organisation with our tools. Saville Consulting Wave Styles is part of a suite of measures aimed at multidimensional assessment.

Wave Styles questionnaires demonstrate exceptional reliability and validity– concepts which we will return to later in the course. Wave has already been validated by over 1500 people globally during its development, standardisation and initial use. Gathering validity on every item continues on an ongoing international basis. The level of detail that the Saville Consulting Wave Styles achieves also enables a more detailed match with client competency models allowing for fast configuration of output reports to predict client competencies and even their competency indicators.
